Sadie's Dining Room • Albuquerque

Sadie's Dining Room has been a family run New Mexican food restaurant since 1950. Very popular, huge, colorfully decorated, friendly venue packed with visitors and plenty of locals who are not in short supply either. There is a wide swath of people from different walks of life here sharing food and space together. Big inexpensive portions. It's a busy long wait for tables kind of place. We ate in the bar and found the place friendly and server helpful and attentive. The food was very good. Even the customers are friendly. When we waited for a place to open at one of bar tables, a man came over and offered to share his family's table with us. It's that kind of place.

The Food:  New Mexican/Mexican
Good to Gets:  Enchiladas are the ticket - we enjoyed the Sadie's Carne Adovada Enchiladas with Blue Corn Tortillas smothered in hot Red Chile served with Frijoles, Sopaipillas, Tostadas and Salsa. Also Green Chile Cheeseburger.
